The first time I stayed at a bed & breakfast was when my wife and I went on our first anniversary vacation weekend. We knew we wanted to look away, we just wasn’t sure where or what we wanted to do.
A colleague of hers showed her a book of bed & breakfasts’ around the United States. Since then my niece and I also been to two other bed & breakfasts, one in Williamsburg, VA and another in upstate Nyc near Seneca River. Although the concept each and every bed & breakfast were similar, they were different in several different ways. For instance in Vermont at breakfast and dinner (both of which were included) we sat at individual table in the adjoining restaurant. In NY and VA we ate a massive table with each of the other guests. In VA the owners took care of everything, well them and their boys and girls. In NY and VT the owners ran the place but also had help to get rooms ready and look after the place pure. In VT we had our own outside entrance in our room as generally if the room was many of our house. In NY and VA you would your own bedroom in the same house with the opposite guests.
Regardless of whichever style you choose, if you have not stayed at a bed & breakfast you should. Each one was wonderful an individual also really felt like your story were part of your owner’s family a person stayed there.
I would recommend first pick a point where you know you would cherish to stay. Anyone like the mountains? How about the sun or a tropical island? Once fully grasp what you truly want to do, take a look up the bed & breakfasts in the areas that in order to targeted and start reading up on them.
